Just three days to go until the launch of our new website…

We’re very excited to reveal our new website to you, which is set to go live on Monday 30thJuly. Working on a new site for current and prospective customers is something we had been considering for a while, keen to display our extensive range of services and highlight how easy it is to enjoy the benefits of vending in the workplace. Our team have worked extremely hard on the project and have built a website that’s minimalistic yet informative. But why should you give the page a visit and what differences will be of benefit to you?

Know where you want to go? Get there quicker!

One simple yet effective addition that we have made to our new website is drop down menus, which make for easier navigation and a stronger user experience. Now you can find what you are looking for in less clicks (and time!). You can clearly see all the machines that we supply and you can click on them all for a more detailed description.

Need help deciding what you need? Allow us to help.

Whilst there is a lot of information on vending, our team have done extremely well in both condensing and simplifying our services. Want to know all the machines that could be ideal for your industry? Our history has been built on making tailored recommendations to suit your requirements, and the redesigned ‘solutions’ section at the bottom of the page will enhance your experience by highlighting the equipment we feel is best suited to you.

The benefits of vending. Now better understood.

Whatever the reason is for your visit, we have updated our information to suggest why we believe vending is a must in the workplace. Each page on our machines highlights the benefits of having a vending machine installed, from creating a great impression for your business to boosting the wellbeing and productivity of your employees. You may come to realise that vending is something you cannot afford to do without.

A clean design that you’ll want to view.

Our team were committed to making a website that is clear, easy to read and simple to navigate. We quickly realised that white was the default colour for a reason, readability, which makes accessing the information you require even easier. Whilst our new site is home to some new design alterations on certain pages (check out the digital infographic on the about us page!), we never wavered from our belief that our new website should primarily be user-friendly.

Search for what you’re looking for…and find more.

With the arrival of the search icon, our new user-friendly website just became even more transparent to enhance your experience further. All of our pages have been tagged with key words so you will receive a multitude of options from searching for as little as one word. For example, if you search for ‘Klix’, the machine pages will pop up as well as the industry that the machine is aimed towards.

Ready to contact us? We’re ready to hear from you.

We have made it even easier for you to get in touch with us. Our contact number can now be found in the top corner of our website, alongside our newly designed page with our contact form on. We have also added options to jump to that page throughout our website, so more information is only ever one click away. Your experience on the website just got even more convenient.

If you’re a current customer, be sure to keep checking back…

For those of you who are a current customer of ours, we have an exciting feature that we will soon be adding to the site. A dedicated customer area is still a work in progress at this stage, but it will allow you to log in to your account to view key information and log faults to name just a few features. We will keep you updated on the progress of this and we look forward to introducing it to you.

We’re proud of our new website. But feedback is welcome.

The whole point of launching our new website was for your benefit. We wanted to emphasise that we can make vending work for your business, and get you enjoying the benefits of quality workplace refreshments in next to no time. We hope you’re happy with the changes we’ve made but we welcome your opinions. Our history has been built on customer feedback and so we would love to hear from you!

We welcome feedback on our new website.

The amusing link between animals and vending machines!

Can you remember the first time you used a vending machine? First developed by the handiwork of Heron of Alexandria many, many years ago, vending machines have gone from strength to strength to dispense numerous items that we simply cannot be without. In a remarkable piece of news that’s you may have heard lately, it seems that animals are the latest species to appreciate the service. Crows, monkeys and otters have recently been spotted using a vending machine or something similar, highlighting just how accessible the vending industry possibly is…

Animals who know exactly how a vending machine works!

Touted as ‘redefining intelligence’ by the BBC, a small South Pacific island is home to a very, very clever animal with truly remarkable abilities. Even leading scientists have been hooked by a Caledonian Crow, who is the centre of an investigation looking into the intelligence of the species. A makeshift vending machine has been specially created to test their problem solving abilities and it’s safe to say that ‘Emma’ has passed with flying colours. If you’d pardon the pun.

Check out the video below which shows how Emma manages to ‘create’ the correct ‘currency’ needed in order for the machine to dispense a treat for her.

Animals that can collect your selection for you…

Okay, so this animal isn’t quite as clever as Emma the crow, but take nothing away from his ability. If you ever find yourself at the Tsukumi Dolphin Island in Japan, check out this smart otter that can retrieve your selection from the vending machine for you when it’s dispensed!

This is the best of the lot…

They say we share a lot of our characteristics with monkeys and this video may have just emphasised the case. This cute animal remarkably inserts the correct amount of money into a genuine vending machine, even smiling for the camera in the process, before giving the change back to the person recording and collecting his item.

The video below will put your doubts to rest!

The monkey is definitely our favourite, but what’s yours? Leave a comment below or on our social media platforms and let us know!

Coinadrink is proud to be part of the Black Country!

Coinadrink is based in Walsall of the West Midlands, so the Black Country is a region that is close to our heart and one that we are very proud to be a part of. You can imagine, then, that Black Country Day is an occasion that we look forward to with excitement. It’s fantastic to see the area come together with activities and events as part of the Black Country Festival, and it really emphasises what the the region is all about. Read on for a brief insight into the area, and boost your knowledge on such a fantastic part of the country!

Where is the Black Country?

Funnily enough, the Black Country isn’t a marked location on a map, hence why you won’t find it on one. It’s actually part of the West Midlands, and commonly refers to all four of the Metropolitan Boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. The term is often used as a marketing tool to sell and promote the West Midlands region to the west of Birmingham.

How does it get its name?

The first trace of the expression dates back to the 1840’s. The Industrial Revolution saw the area become one of the most industrialised parts of Britain with coal mines, iron foundries, brickworks and the like producing a high level of air pollution. The area is believed to have got its name from the soot that was produced during this time. A sense of shared history and tradition in the area has kept the term in use today.

The flag.

The flag is a regional flag representing the Black Country and the design was chosen by public vote in 2012. The red and black colours were inspired by Elihu Burrit, who once said that the region is ‘black by day and red by night. The white triangular shape represents the glass cones common in Black Country architecture, while the chains symbolise something that the area is well known for.

The dialect.

First things first, the accent is slightly different to that of the ‘Brummie’ one, which describes those from Birmingham. In general, dialect has resisted many of the changes from Middle English that are seen in other dialects of the English Language, and particularly resembles that of West Country English. Common words include:

  • ‘Yow’ (you)
  • ‘Yam’ (you are)
  • ‘Arm’ (I’m)
  • ‘Tekkin’ (Taking)
  • ‘Tar’ (Thanks)
  • ‘Dow’ (Don’t)

Black Country Day 2018.

This years’ Black Country Day falls tomorrow, Saturday 14thJuly. Despite this, the Black Country festival has been running since June 30thand will continue right through to July 29th, and there has already been many events held in celebration. Family fun run’s, film and food festivals, carnivals and more have been held throughout the region, highlighting all there is to love about such a great area.

The link to Coinadrink

Coinadrink has been based in the region since 1962, so we know all there is that’s special about the region. 56 years has seen us forge respected relationships with those in the area, and we are proud to call the Black Country our home!
